DESCRIPTION OF EVENT:
FAA/AVSED will host a FREE aviation education workshop for teachers
in the Florida area (Orlando). The workshop will begin at 8:00 am (registration)
and end at 12:30 – 1:00 pm.
Following the workshop the Exhibits will also be open 1:00 pm - 5:00
pm at the Women in Aviation conference. All attending teachers are encouraged
to take advantage of the opportunity to view the exhibits and participate in the
conference events.
The workshop will also include introductions, acknowledgements,
and comments from James (Jim) Brough (MC - National AVSED Program Manager), Amy
Corbett (Regional Administrator for New England Region), Douglas R. Murphy
(Regional Administrator for Southern Region), Peggy Chabrian (President of WAI),
and Paula Lewis (Assistant Administrator for Regions/Centers Operations, ARC-1).
Other features include: Bingo game, SmartSkies demonstration, build-an-airport
session, door prizes, and more from all the Regional AVSED Program Managers.

Those attending the Women in Aviation International Conference can
include the workshop by checking the appropriate box on the event
registration form. See

FREE REGISTRATION for workshop and exhibits: Those NOT planning
to purchase registration for WAI may attend the workshop AND afternoon WAI
exhibits for free.

Graduate Credit Available:
After the workshop a table will be set up at the workshop room door to register teachers
interested in the obtaining a graduate credit for attending the workshop.
The cost of the graduate credit is $180.00 for each teacher.
